Forget noisy restaurants

A loud dinner at a restaurant, awkward toasts, exhaustion instead of joy – sound familiar? More and more people are ditching the usual gatherings in favour of something that truly recharges them. Wellness celebrations are one of the key spa trends of 2026: instead of a standard dinner, you give yourself and your loved ones an experience your body remembers – not just your camera roll.

Lázně Pramen in Prague's Dejvice – an intimate private spa with beer and wine baths – is perfectly suited for such a celebration. Three private rooms, a salt cave, handcrafted oak and larch tubs with jacuzzi, unlimited draught Bernard beer – and complete privacy behind closed doors.

Why a spa celebration is the new way to go

A restaurant means food, noise and a bill. An evening at the spa means sensations, warmth and shared experience. The difference is fundamental: after a jacuzzi tub at 35–38 °C your body is relaxed, your skin is soft and your mood is soaring. No hangover, no fatigue – just lightness and a pleasant drowsiness.

There is a practical side too. A warm bath activates blood circulation, relieves muscle tension and lowers cortisol – the stress hormone. A study published by NCBI confirms: regular hydrotherapy improves sleep, reduces anxiety and helps with chronic pain. One evening at the spa is not just entertainment – it is genuine self-care.

One more argument: privacy. At Lázně Pramen every room locks – it is just you and your friends. No strangers, no dress code, no time limits on conversation. Just warm water, quiet music and the people you care about.

Rooms and treatments at Lázně Pramen

Lázně Pramen has four rooms, each with its own character:

Zlatý pramen (Golden Spring) – the most spacious, with two oak jacuzzi tubs. Fits up to 4 guests. The "Two in One" treatment is available here – a beer and wine bath at the same time in one room.

Rubínový pramen (Ruby Spring) – a cosy room with a single larch tub. Dimmed lights, an electric fireplace – made for two.

Smaragdový pramen (Emerald Spring) – a V.I.P. room with a larch tub and a cedar barrel phyto-sauna. The choice for those who want the ultimate experience.

Safírový pramen (Sapphire Spring) – a salt cave with a massage table. This is where massages take place: relaxation (30 or 60 minutes) and sports (60 minutes). Price – from €33.

Key treatments: beer bath from €129 (Bernard beer, hops, malt, brewer's yeast, B vitamins) and wine bath from €183 (grape extracts, polyphenols, honey, lavender). Duration – approximately 90 minutes, including rest on a wheat-straw bed.

Three scenarios for the birthday person

A romantic evening for two. Rubínový pramen, wine bath, a bottle of wine included, followed by a 60-minute massage at Safírový pramen. Roughly 2.5 hours of pure bliss. Approximate budget: from €183 (wine bath) + from €50 (60-min massage).

An intimate celebration for four. Zlatý pramen with two tubs – each couple in their own bath. A beer tub, unlimited draught Bernard beer, rest on wheat straw by the fireplace. To finish – a stroll through evening Dejvice. Budget: from €258 per room (2 tubs).

A group of up to 8. Book several rooms: Zlatý pramen (up to 4 guests) + Rubínový pramen or Smaragdový pramen (2 guests each). Some in the beer bath, some in the wine bath, and afterwards – a massage in the salt cave. The celebration stretches across the whole evening, and everyone gets their own treatment.

Gift voucher: a gift with meaning

Not sure what to give? A gift voucher for Lázně Pramen solves the problem elegantly. The birthday person picks the treatment, room and date themselves – no "wrong size" guesswork. The voucher can be purchased for a specific amount or for a particular treatment.

It works for anyone: a friend who has always wanted to try a beer bath; a partner who needs a phone-free day; parents who are hard to surprise. An experience stays in memory longer than a thing – and definitely will not end up in the back of a wardrobe.

Health benefits: more than just pleasure

Real science stands behind the pleasant sensations. Hops (Humulus lupulus), one of the key ingredients of the beer bath, has proven dermatological properties. A 2025 review in Springer confirmed: hop extract has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects on the skin.

Grape polyphenols used in wine baths are not just marketing either. Resveratrol – the main antioxidant in red grapes – protects skin cells from oxidative stress and slows down the ageing process. This has been confirmed by a study in PLOS ONE.

Warm water (35–38 °C) and the jacuzzi on their own act as gentle hydrotherapy: they improve microcirculation, release muscle tension and help the body recover faster after physical exertion. A randomised study in BMC Complementary Medicine (2025) showed that regular warm baths significantly reduce pain, fatigue and improve sleep quality.
